Macaw Balsa Wood Earrings - made by artisans from the Peruvian Amazon

These fun earrings feature the patterns of several types of macaws from the Amazon rainforest.  These  iconic colorful and local  fruit-eating birds have been carved from lightweight balsa so the wearer can show their connection to the biggest jungle in the world. A small huayruru seed above the bird adds another authentic touch of the forest.

These earrings are made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.  The French hooks are made with non-allergenic material.

Please remember that these handmade crafts may vary from the photos shown.
