Ayahuasca vine and black onyx macrame necklace

Sale price$50.00

These elegant boho-style necklaces features a lacquered cross-section of the ayahuasca vine above a black onyx stone hanging from a macrame waxed thread necklace. Ayahuasca is used by many Amazon shamans in traditional ceremonies.  The necklace was made by an expert artisan from Iquitos who has worked with the Center for Amazon Community Ecology for ten years.

This necklace comes with both oval stones and arrowhead shaped stones adorned with one pair of small spherical stone beads.  The waxed twine has two knots that allow easy adjustment of the length to fit it over your head and then tighten.

Model: NK068P16 (oval stones); NKG41P16 (arrowhead stone)

Style: Medium oval with black chord

Support native artisans
& rainforest in the Amazon

Amazon forest loss is driving species to extinction, aggravating global warming, and robbing people of unique medicines, foods and other benefits. Cutting and burning forests is often more profitable than conserving them, so some native communities in northern Peru have illegally logged and grown coca and other cash-crops to escape poverty.
